Welcome to the Indiana Branch of the American Society of Microbiology homepage! Here at IBASM, our mission is to increase awareness about the field of microbiology, as well as, to support faculty and especially students in their research endeavors.  Our main avenue for this support is through our annual meeting held each spring in various locations throughout Indiana. We invite national speakers to these meetings to provide us vital information on recent developments in various aspects of microbiology. More importantly though, it is a platform in which both undergraduate and graduate students can present their research through both poster and oral presentations. They receive invaluable feedback from our faculty judges as well as monetary awards for the top poster presentations.
